My Approach
Clinical Psychologist West End

How I Work

Many people don’t realize that emotional pain is often rooted in deep-seated distress held within both the mind and body. As a Clinical Psychologist in West End, I understand how unresolved experiences can manifest as anxiety, anger, depression, or a sense of feeling "stuck."

I utilize a relational, collaborative approach to help clients engage in an integrative mind-body healing experience. By fostering a safe and respectful environment, I ensure every individual receives personalised care. I believe the best results happen when I can draw from a diverse "toolkit" of therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of every person who walks through my West End practice doors.

Evidence-Based Practices I Use
  • Neurobiological informed trauma therapy
    (for PTSD and complex trauma)
  • Internal family systems (IFS)
  • Relational psychotherapy
  • Equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) and equine assisted
    learning (EAL) Saturdays only
  • Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)

Relational Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis

Depending on your needs, I may draw from a variety of therapeutic models, including:

• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Psychodynamic therapy
Each treatment plan is shaped to support your unique personality, goals, and history.
A Trauma-Informed, Neurobiological Approach

I work extensively with clients living with trauma or PTSD. My approach integrates:

• A relational foundation
• Mind-body techniques
• Research-backed trauma therapies
My academic research has focused on how trauma affects the brain, particularly the role of the amygdala in fear and emotional regulation.

Whatever you’re going through…

healing is possible.
I help clients understand how these internal systems work, and how
to stabilise them, so that healing becomes possible with Relationship Counselling & Family Counselling

What to

Expect from a
Clinical Psychologist
West End.

  • A non-judgemental, supportive space
  • Repect for your pace and boundaries
  • A collaborative, not prescriptive, relationship
  • A focus on building long-term emotional strength - not
  • just short-term symptom relief
Many of my clients tell me I’m “really different” and I think that’s because I build rapport almost instantly. People often say, “You just get me,” even in the first session.

I’ve always had a natural ability to listen deeply, but I’ve also never been afraid to say what needs to be said. I believe deep down, clients already know the truth they’re searching for - but fear, self-doubt, or old patterns keep them from naming it. These repetitive patterns can end up crucifying them emotionally and relationally, keeping them stuck in pain.

My therapeutic approach is strongly Jungian and relational. As Jung observed, we often spend the first half of life building a persona to survive and be accepted, but those same behaviours can hold us back later. The second half of life is an opportunity to recognise and change those unconscious patterns, and begin living in a way that feels more authentic, more whole, and more you.
